Cara B. Bally provides thorough and insightful advice to resolve clients' most challenging disputes. Cara has a broad practice in Canadian commercial litigation and international and domestic arbitrations arising primarily from construction, energy and contract disputes. She also practices in medical malpractice and professional negligence.
Cara represents a diversity of clients, including major Canadian and international corporations in significant, multi-party commercial disputes and physicians and surgeons facing litigation or professional conduct and disciplinary complaints. She appears as litigation counsel before courts and administrative tribunals in Alberta and as arbitration counsel under leading international arbitration systems, including UNCITRAL, LCIA and ICC.
Cara is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Her undergraduate education and research experience in the sciences provide a strong foundation from which to advise on complex engineering, construction, energy and medical-related matters. Throughout law school, Cara was an editor on the Ottawa Law Review, acted as a research assistant and volunteered pro bono.
