Laura Gill is a leading commercial litigation and arbitration lawyer with over fifteen years’ experience litigating complex, high-stakes corporate disputes. She is a trusted advisor to a diverse group of commercial clients and has argued dozens of cases before all levels of courts in Alberta and British Columbia, as well as domestic and international arbitration panels.

Laura handles a wide range of commercial disputes, with a focus on the energy industry. Laura’s broad experience includes disputes about joint venture and partnership matters, purchase and sale agreements, audit claims, ownership and operating agreements, royalties, farmout agreements, injunctions, and First Nations issues.

Laura has significant expertise in appeals and judicial review proceedings following decisions of regulatory bodies, and environmental disputes including contaminated sites claims. Laura also represents clients in securities litigation including in claims involving the duties and liabilities of directors and officers, the oppression remedy, and shareholder disputes.

Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Laura practised commercial litigation in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Supreme Court.
