Larissa has a broad energy regulatory practice, with experience in utilities and rates, regulatory approvals and facility applications, market regulation, environmental, Indigenous and surface rights matters. She works across a broad spectrum of sectors including power generation, energy storage, pipelines, electrical transmission and distribution, CCUS, hydrogen and oil and gas.
Larissa acts for both applicants and interveners before the Alberta Utilities Commission, the Canada Energy Regulator, the Land and Property Rights Tribunal and the Alberta Energy Regulator. Additionally, Larissa has experience assisting clients with environmental assessment and compliance matters.
Larissa routinely provides regulatory and environmental advice in the context of project development and corporate transactions, including as it relates to electricity generation and connection projects (wind, solar, energy storage, co-generation) and oil and gas infrastructure, including pipelines.
Having spent several years practicing in-house at the Alberta Electric System Operator, Larissa is particularly familiar with the regulatory complexities of project development in the electricity sector and often leverages this expertise in her practice.
