Tyler McAuley is a partner in Bennett Jones’ mergers and acquisitions group in Toronto and a member of the firm’s power and renewable energy practice group. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and commercial transactions in the energy and infrastructure development space.
Tyler has been actively involved in the energy industry for over a decade. During this period, he has acted for developers, investors and lenders in connection with wind, hydro, nuclear and co-generation power projects in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and the United States. Tyler regularly provides advice in the areas of development, financing, commercial contract negotiation and governance matters. He has extensive experience in financings for public and private corporations in both public and private markets.
Tyler has also been actively involved in infrastructure projects in Canada including acting for developers in connection with energy generation, battery storage, and electricity transmission as well as hospital development and renewable manufacturing projects.
Prior to joining the partnership at Bennett Jones, Tyler was a senior counsel at Ontario Power Generation Inc., one of the largest clean power generators in North America.
