Marvin Yontef provides counsel on commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, banking and project finance, securities offerings, corporate reorganizations and restructurings. He also provides strategic and other legal advice to boards of directors, as well as commercial and investment bankers.
Marvin joined the firm after almost 40 years at another leading Canadian firm where he was lead counsel on many of the country's highest profile engagements. He is a director of the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation, which is part of the University Health Network. Marvin has been a director of a number of public and closely held companies, and charitable organizations, including the Air Canada group of companies in recent years.
Marvin is a frequent keynote speaker and panellist at professional, academic and commercial conferences on topics related to mergers and acquisitions, fiduciary responsibilities and business restructurings.
