Okey has a corporate commercial practice with a focus on private mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions and corporate reorganizations.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Okey practiced for 15 years in Nigeria where he worked at a leading Nigerian law firm and also served as General Counsel for a public-listed company and a private equity fund manager. He has extensive experience working with investors and development finance institutions, and he has worked with clients in a broad range of industries including technology, consumer products, agriculture and financial services, especially in emerging markets.
