Bennett Jones congratulates partner Will Osler KC on being elected President and Chair of the Board of The Greatest Show on Earth. An active volunteer for almost 30 years, Will joined the Board in 2014 and carries forward the century-long tradition of Bennett Jones' commitment to the Calgary Stampede.

"There is no organization like the Calgary Stampede," says Will. "It means so much to the community and embodies our spirit as a city. Having the opportunity to lead our volunteer Board as we continue to drive economic growth for our city, our province and our country is an honour."

Looking ahead to his term as President and Chair, Will says two important priorities for him will be building on the momentum from a successful Stampede in 2022, and opening the half-billion dollar expansion of the BMO Centre in 2024. The world-class, one million square foot-plus facility will turn Calgary into a tier one convention city.

Bennett Jones' history with the Stampede goes back to both of their beginnings. The firm's founder Richard Bedford (R.B.) Bennett was involved in the first Calgary Stampede in 1912. When it went through some hard times and lost the title to Stampede Park in 1922, R.B. bought the property and gifted it to the city of Calgary, on the condition that it be leased back to the Stampede. Bennett Jones has remained the Stampede's principal legal advisor ever since.
