Lori Sterling New Chair at Pearson College UWC

Lori Sterling has been confirmed as the new Chairperson of the Board at Pearson College UWC in Canada. She served on the Board for six years and is a Pearson alumnae. Lori is also a member of the governance committee of the International United World College Board.

Pearson is one of 17 United World Colleges worldwide. The UWC mission is to make education a force for peace and sustainability in the world. Students come from over 100 countries and most are on scholarship. Pearson College in Canada is located southwest of Victoria, B.C. and is the country’s only United World College.

In addition to being Senior Counsel at Bennett Jones, Lori brings more than 30 years of federal and provincial government experience to the Pearson Board. She served as Canada’s Deputy Minister of Labour and Associate Deputy Minister, Employment, Skills Development Canada; Associate Deputy Minister of Justice; and as Deputy Minister of Indigenous Affairs for the Province of Ontario.
