Stuart Hankinson Q.C. joins Bennett Jones as partner in Vancouver office

Stuart Hankinson has joined Bennett Jones as a partner on the firm's litigation team in the Vancouver office. His practice is focused on complex construction, commercial and insurance dispute resolution.

Stuart frequently acts as a mediator and arbitrator of complex construction disputes. He also acts as a single member Dispute Adjudication Board (DAB), a Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) member and as a Referee in major construction projects.

Stuart is a charter Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers. He is active in the community as a member of the British Columbia Construction Roundtable, the Project Management Institute and the British Columbia Building Envelope Council. He is a former chairman of the Canadian Bar Association's Construction Law Section (BC).

In 2012, Stuart was appointed Queen's Counsel in recognition of his exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession. Stuart lectures regularly for organizations including the Canadian Institute, Insight Education Services, Agenda Management Limited and Pacific Business & Law Institute. He is recognized as a leading lawyer in numerous legal rankings.
