Lisa has a general energy regulatory practice with experience in regulatory approvals for facilities and rates, import and export licences, surface rights, environmental assessments, appeals, and Aboriginal matters. She works across a broad spectrum of sectors including power generation, energy storage, pipelines, electrical transmission and distribution, renewables, mining, and oil and gas. Lisa has been involved in proceedings before federal and provincial administrative tribunals, including the Canada Energy Regulator, the Alberta Utilities Commission and the Alberta Energy Regulator, as well as Alberta Courts.
Before joining Bennett Jones, Lisa articled and worked as an associate at a large national firm. During her articles, she was seconded to the Calgary office of an international oil and gas company. Lisa previously summered with the Alberta Utilities Commission and the Law Society of Alberta. In law school, Lisa participated in the Gale Cup Moot twice, and coordinated marketing and communications for the Calgary chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada.
