Robert Blunt is a land use planner in the firm's Real Estate Group. Robert is a registered Professional Land Use Planner as recognized by his Provincial Institute. He has acted for a wide range of clients, including institutional investors, industrial landowners, residential and commercial developers, private non-profit sector clients and energy companies on a wide range of matters over the last 25 years, including:
- providing advice on subdivision agreements, site plan agreements, Section 37 agreements, consent and minor variance approvals and easement agreements, cost-sharing agreements;
- preparing all types of development applications, including applications for official plan amendments, zoning by-law amendments, plans of subdivision, site plan control approval, variances and consents, and clearance of conditions for Planning Act severances and consents to mortgage;
- representing landowners before Council committees, Committees of Adjustment and Land Division Committees; and
- preparing due diligence reports and appeals to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and Toronto Local Appeal Body, among others.
Robert has also acted as project management lead for diverse groups of professional consultants, including other land use planners, architects, civil engineers, real estate appraisers, and environmental consultants.
