Understanding the Draft Consumer Privacy Protection Act

Wednesday, September 14, 2022

With the reintroduction of the draft Consumer Privacy Protection Act, comprehensive reform to Canada's privacy legislation is imminent. The federal government has tabled a bill to enact a new legislative scheme governing the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by private sector organizations.

On Wednesday, September 14, our Data Governance, Cybersecurity and Privacy group hosted a special presentation on the key changes included in this draft legislation and how they will change the scope of your obligations, the extent of regulatory scrutiny and exposure to penalties for non-compliance.

If you have any questions, please contact our events team.
