Isaiah Scipio joined Bennett Jones as a student in 2024 at the Toronto office.
Throughout his studies at Osgoode Hall Law School, Isaiah was actively involved in the Black Law Students Association at Osgoode, where he served as a mentor and member, fostering a sense of community and support among his peers.
Prior to attending law school, Isaiah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Society from York University in 2021, followed by a Master’s degree in Socio-Legal Studies from York University in 2022. During his academic journey, he was a four-time Ontario University Athletics All-Academic, four-time Academic All-Canadian and three-time recipient of the Sports Excellence Award balancing competitive basketball with a heavy academic workload. He was also awarded the Stuart G. Robbins Award for achieving the highest GPA among varsity men’s athletes and was consistently on the Dean’s Honour Roll.
Isaiah also spent several years working as a server in the restaurant industry and as a customer experience associate at Scotiabank, which helped develop his communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
